(August 7, 2024) — Oakland County Football Club celebrates the conclusion of the 2024 season by announcing the highest season attendance in club history! The count is in and 3,870 fans came to see County in 2024. Fans truly turned Royal Oak High School Stadium into the Purple Patch every home game this summer. A sincere thank you to all those who came out and enjoyed Oakland County’s best live entertainment.
On the field it was a year of transition with an infusion of exciting new players and coaching staff. In the community, County players kicked off the season with a series of visits to Royal Oak Community Schools to share their favorite books and passion for the game with the children. In turn, OCFC superfans hosted a preseason painting party where the season’s newest banners and T-Shirts were created, including the gargantuanly sized banner seen hanging on the back of the main stand on matchdays.

Through the season a new core of players emerged. Talented young players began to break through and provided some of the season’s top moments. Amongst the highlights, local teen Christian Wilson scoring with his very first touch while wearing County purple and Canadian sensation Braden Stevanovic bagging a brace midseason to kickoff a great run of form. Club Ironman Kai Yamazaki also made his mark for County this year, by playing every minute of the 2024 season and earning multiple player of the game awards.

The 2024 season officially concludes on August 10th, with the annual Tim Pontzer Memorial Cup. The yearly exhibition pits the OCFC Supporters Vs OCFC Staff in an exhibition to connect the team and fans. Be sure to be there as the first ever Supporter of the Year will be awarded too! The Supporters vs Staff game will take place at Clawson City Park Stadium on August 10th at 6:30pm. Interested players should email robertkerr@oaklandcountyfc.com. The celebrations and socializing will continue after the game as Gus’ Snug in downtown Clawson.
