(July 2, 2024) — Oakland County FC defeated Michiana FC (formerly the South Bend Lions) by a score of five to zero this past Saturday. The match was highlighted by four different goal scorers for the purple and gold in front of a boisterous County crowd. OCFC dominated the majority of the game, testing Michiana FC’s keeper with 13 total shots and many more scoring opportunities.
Every OCFC matchday features live music, wallet friendly vendors, and a kids zone, all alongside matches of the highest level of pre professional soccer in the nation.
Saturdays action all started in the 28th minute, when midfielder Braden Stevanovic intercepted a pass in the visitors defending 3rd, sprinted towards the goal, and got brought down for a penalty. The Belle River, Ontario native and 2024 University of Virginia Men’s Soccer commit, calmly and cooly buried his penalty past the keeper’s outstretched arms. Stevanovic added another goal in the 64th minute and earned himself Saturday’s man of the match award. The young Canadian’s goals were his first tallies for Oakland County.

Another bright light that shines through the purple smoke of Royal Oak is new member, Christian Wilson, who smashed a header off a corner into the back of the net in the 69th minute to seal the victory.
