2022 Internship Opportunities with OCFC


 

Looking to gain quality experience working in the Sports Marketing, Operations, Communications, or Business and Management field? Know someone who is? Oakland County Football Club is currently accepting internship applications for the 2022 season!

Ideal candidates will be ready to begin as early as March or April and provide support throughout the 2022 season (end of July).

Internship opportunities are designed for an individual seeking future work experience related to all facets of club operation.

Internships are eligible to provide credits for college courses/fulfillment. All candidates must be available to work 6-8 hours on match days in addition to 2-3 hours on non-match days per week. Physical appearances on match days are required but remainder of work throughout internship can be remote.

While these positions are unpaid, there are numerous benefits that come with a successful season:

2022 Marketing Operations and Management Internship

Interns will be responsible for assisting in numerous aspects of Oakland County FC operation, ranging from gameday roles to off-season marketing initiatives. These key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Attend designated community events to promote awareness of the Oakland County FC brand in the Oakland County area

  • Assist in matchday operations such as box office, apparel, promotional, and entertainment; including: ticket fulfillment, customer service, setup and breakdown, sales and more

  • Support in gameday media relations tasks such as credentialing, check-in, statistics distribution and online coverage

  • Collaborate with the other facets of club operation to obtain an insider view of each arm of the organization to help better understand goals and vision

  • Available to assist at most OCFC home games and community events (full schedule to be shared at orientation)

  • Be open to take on new assignments and deliver a product with minimal supervision


2022 Digital Media Internship

Under the supervision of the Oakland County FC Media Director, the Media Intern will gain valuable, working knowledge of the club, and will contribute to OCFC’s digital platforms, media needs and game day duties.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assist in creation of all match-related media needs

  • Develop documents for business collateral and design general materials to represent Oakland County FC

  • Assist in creation of graphics and other design assets

  • Assist Media Director in generating and maintaining content on OCFC’s digital platforms and website

Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with use of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, or other comparable programs

  • Strong writing skills, knowledge of AP Style helpful

  • Good organizational skills

  • Experience in social media/marketing

  • Ability to work every OCFC home match in 2022


2022 Video Production Media Internship

Under the supervision of the Oakland County FC Media Director, the Video Production Intern will gain valuable, working knowledge of the club, and will contribute to OCFC’s digital platforms, media needs and game day duties.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assist in creation of all match-related videography needs and editing that includes but not limited to community outreach events, matches, game presentation content and previously filmed material

  • Develop documents for business collateral and design general materials to represent the club

  • Assist in creation of promo videos, match highlights and on-field experiential clips

  • Assist Media Director in generating content on OCFC’s digital platforms and website

Qualifications:

  • Well-versed in shooting, editing and distributing video content to various platforms in various formats 

  • Must have experience with a desktop video editing tool like DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or the like

  • Good organizational skills

  • Experience in social media/marketing

  • Ability to work every OCFC home match in 2022
