Matchday Preview: OCFC vs. Muskegon Risers

Coming off of a 5-0 victory at Ole Soccer Club (Grand Rapids, MI), OCFC (2nd in PLA East, 2-0-0) will look to maintain their unbeaten league-play record as they host the Muskegon Risers. After drawing to Toledo Villa (Toledo, OH) 2-2, the Risers currently sit at 3rd place in the PLA East with a 1-1-1 overall record. This will be the first match up between the teams after they split the series in 2016.

The 18 players available for Saturday’s game are as follows:

Goalkeepers: Ludin Gonzales, Zach Walker

Defenders: Jeremy Stoychoff, Jason Leslie, Joe Beshara, Connor Ballantyne, Talal Hamodi

Midfielders: Charlie Miles, Saeed Tawill, Alex Serwatka, Adam Clauss, Hamidou Barry

Forwards: Chukwudi Nwokoye, Brendan Woodfull, Mario Morana, Azaad Liadi, Kaveon Dux, Shawn Sloan

Shawn Sloan, the leading scorer and Captain from the 2016 PLA campaign, will make his season debut for the Purple and Gold. Goalkeeper Zach Walker (Oakland University) will dress for the first time in 2017 league play.

Prior to the match, OCFC supporters and players will be meeting at Red Fox English Pub (100 S Main St., Royal Oak) at 2:30 PM to catch the UEFA Champions League Final.
